Clear UV window film is sometimes referred to as Museum window film. Certain facilities such as museums or art galleries need to stop items from fading but cannot have any tint on the glass. This film stops ultraviolet (UV) rays without stopping any light or tinting the glass. Due to it being so clear it doesn’t have the same performance as Coolclear Anti Fade. Coolclear Anti Fade is nearly clear to the eye but does have a very light tint. Clear UV is only recommended if it’s imperative that there is zero tinting on the glass. If you can get away with a slight tint, go for the better-performing Coolclear. Clear UV has a scratch-resistant coating to keep the film looking good for longer. Clear UV is an ideal choice for people with UV-sensitive skin conditions where you need to stop UV only. It’s important to check that the amount of UV stopped is suitable for your skin condition before buying it though. It’s sticky backed so there is no need for messy glues. This helps to make the installation easier.

Purchased this product to protect framed photos to protect fading from sunlight. No problems in applying the film following the good instructions included. I can now have my curtains open with the knowledge and confidence the picture will not fade.
Easier to apply than it seems at first – start with a small window if you can to get the hang of it. Instructions could be clearer. Film is great once applied – doesn’t look like it’s on the window at all.
