Product Overview
Internal Safety Window Film
Worried about the risk of injury from shattered glass? Our clear Internal Safety Window Film provides a discreet layer of protection by helping to hold broken glass together if the pane is accidentally damaged.
Designed for application to the inside surface of your glass, the film helps prevent dangerous shards from scattering across the surrounding area—all while making very little difference to the appearance of your windows.
Why you’ll love it
- Shatter protection – helps hold broken glass together, reducing the risk of injury from loose and falling shards.
- Designed for internal application – professionally developed for installation on the room-side surface of the glass.
- Virtually transparent – improves safety with minimal change to the appearance of your windows or the view through them.
- UV protection – blocks up to 99% of harmful ultraviolet rays.
- Fade reduction – helps protect furniture, flooring, fabrics and interior finishes from premature fading.
- Strong adhesion – bonds securely to the glass for reliable, long-lasting performance.
Everyday protection without compromising appearance
Standard glass can create dangerous, sharp fragments when it breaks. Internal Safety Window Film helps retain those fragments, reducing the likelihood of them scattering or falling into the surrounding area.
It is a practical safety upgrade for homes, schools, nurseries, offices, shops and other busy environments—particularly around glass doors, low-level glazing and areas used by children or the public.
The film does not prevent the glass from breaking, but it helps keep the damaged pane together until it can be safely removed and replaced.
Tested to a recognised safety standard
This film has been tested to BS EN 12600 Class 2B2, a recognised impact-performance classification for safety glazing materials.
When correctly specified and installed, it can help existing glazing satisfy the requirements of Regulation 14 of the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992. Suitability will depend on the glass, installation and requirements of the individual location.
Invisible protection and everyday peace of mind
Because the film is clear, your windows retain their original appearance while benefiting from an additional layer of protection. It is ideal when improved glass safety is required without introducing tint, pattern or noticeable visual change.
Need safety film for external application?
We also offer External Safety Window Film, designed specifically for installation on the outside surface of the glass.
The external version is ideal when internal application isn’t practical or when the external pane of a double-glazed unit needs to be made safer. Always choose the correct version for the installation surface, as standard internal film is not designed to withstand prolonged outdoor exposure.
