How Does One-Way Window Film Work?
A one-way film operates on the basis of the light-ratio principle. Daytime privacy is achieved by making the exterior surface highly reflective, while allowing clear views from the inside.
The exterior light is brighter than the interior light during the daylight hours. This is when the film’s reflective surface acts as a mirror, reflecting ambient light. Onlookers are only able to see their own reflection. However, the occupants inside enjoy natural light while also maintaining clear views of the outside.
Our one-way films act as complete window film solutions that bond to the window’s interior glass directly. So, the films are great at providing privacy without the need for any structural change.

Optimal Performance with DIY Installation of One-Way Window Film
Achieve optimal performance in privacy and heat control with easy DIY installation of one-way film. All you need is soapy water, a squeegee, and a knife. Here are the steps for DIY installation.

Step 1: Clean glass thoroughly.

Step 2: Generously spray both the glass and the adhesive side of the film.

Step 3: Position the film.

Step 4: Use a squeegee to remove water and bubbles from the centre outwards.

Step 5: Trim the edges.
For best performance, you should install the privacy window film in moderate temperatures, ranging between 7 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius. You should also try to avoid direct sunlight during the window film work. Moreover, allow 24 to 48 hours for the adhesive to fully bond. For large-scale needs, professional teams are also available.

For one way window film to work, it needs to be three to four times brighter outside than in (4:1 light ratio). This means once the sun goes down or it’s very shady outside, your room might be visible from outside. For round-the-clock privacy, try our blackout film instead.
